Information you can review before using TabiDex.

App distribution and your rights
Your use of an App Store or TestFlight copy is also subject to the applicable Apple distribution terms and, where applicable, Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. These product terms explain TabiDex’s permitted use and limitations. They do not replace any mandatory consumer right or override Apple’s applicable terms. The website does not sell an app license or subscription.
A travel aid, with review required
TabiDex helps with Japanese travel conversations, text and menus. Speech recognition, OCR, translations, pronunciations and AI suggestions can be incomplete or wrong. Review the source and meaning before showing or speaking a phrase. Generated replies are suggestions, not your confirmed intention or a guarantee of another person’s meaning.
Do not rely on TabiDex as the sole source for medical care, emergencies, legal or financial decisions, immigration requirements, transport safety, or other decisions where an error can cause serious harm. Seek a qualified professional or the appropriate local service when needed.
Food, prices and ordering
A photo or translation cannot establish that a dish is safe for an allergy or dietary requirement. Ask staff about ingredients, allergens and cross-contact, and use another method if you cannot confirm the information. Confirm dish names, quantities, taxes, availability and final prices directly with staff. TabiDex does not place orders, make reservations or pay merchants for you. A displayed total is based on the listed values you reviewed, not a binding merchant quote.
Recording and other people’s information
Use microphone, camera, saved recordings and sharing only when you have the legal right and any required consent. Tell conversation partners what you are doing, respect venue rules, and stop if required. Permission to use your phone’s microphone is not permission from everyone in a conversation. The app’s acknowledgment flow is guidance and does not determine which laws apply. Do not use TabiDex for covert surveillance, harassment, impersonation or other unlawful activity.
You remain responsible for content you choose to photograph, record, show, speak, copy or share. Keep confidential information out of public speakers, visible screens and support messages when not necessary. Do not claim that Apple, another company, or a person endorses your content merely because a system voice reads it.
Local resources and beta limitations
Supported hardware, OS versions, enabled Apple Intelligence, installed language/speech resources and available storage affect features. Downloads and website or support access can require a connection. AI features may be unavailable while ordinary translation or saved phrases remain useful. Beta builds are for evaluation; features can change, fail, or become unavailable, and temporary data can expire or be lost. Keep any information you need by a separate lawful method rather than relying on temporary app storage.
Privacy and data controls
Read the Privacy Policy and data controls. They distinguish local app processing from Apple-managed transfers, website hosting and correspondence you send to support. Removing the app or clearing local data does not automatically erase another person’s copy, an original photo, a prior external-provider record or a device backup.
Intellectual property
Use the app through the license under which it was supplied. The app’s branding, original materials and included software remain subject to the rights of their respective owners. Apple product and framework names identify compatibility and do not imply endorsement. TabiDex is an independent travel tool. No third-party franchise, actor or character voice is offered in the Apple-system-voice release. Do not copy or redistribute another party’s protected material without permission or another applicable legal basis.
Availability, warranties and liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, TabiDex is provided as available without a promise of uninterrupted operation, error-free output, suitability for every purpose or retention of temporary content. Nothing here excludes liability or statutory remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including mandatory consumer guarantees or liability for conduct the law does not permit us to disclaim. No blanket damages cap, compulsory arbitration or waiver of mandatory rights is imposed by this page.
Purchases and support
If a future or separately offered App Store version is paid, the price and purchase conditions are the ones shown by Apple before purchase. App Store purchases and refund requests follow Apple’s applicable processes and your legal rights. These pages do not promise a price, lifetime service, a subscription, or a public TestFlight invitation.

Material changes to these terms will be identified by an updated effective date and any additional notice required by law.
